After Vera and Lucille’s first investigation, they went their separate ways — Vera to New York, Lucille to Chicago.

A year later, they meet again.  This time, there’s a Chicago theater being haunted.  The specter acts like a poltergeist.  Is it one?  There’s a recently deceased actor who was going to play Macbeth.  Is it him?

What is it about theaters and ghosts?  There two seem to go hand-in-hand.  Given the number of plays featuring ghosts, from before Hamlet and since Blithe Spirit, perhaps it’s simply something in the ether . . .
